First tip
Everyone likes to save money, and in the present economy it is very important. Also using natural products in a daily beauty routine, or for soothing a tired body, which have no chemicals, is important. Combining the two, makes for a win-win situation. When I see a tip in a magazine or newspaper, I cut it out; if I find it on the internet I download it; then I put them in a file, where it is easy to find them.
Tips for the skin
1. Add a few drops of green tea extract to astrigents and lotions, to help protect the skin from free radicals that can damage it. Green tea works, because it is a great antioxident, that protects the skin. It is also very healthy to drink "green tea".
2. Tone your skin with Apple Cider Vinegar. Mix one part apple cider vinegar with 2 parts distilled water, wash your face, then using a cotton pad apply the diluted vinegar solution to face and neck. The malic acid in the vinegar helps renew the skin by getting rid of dead skin cells. Be sure to follow with a natural moisturizing lotion.
3. Want to enliven your facial scrub - combine 3 parts baking soda with 1 part water, gently rub in a circular motion over your skin, then rinse. Do this after you have cleansed your face with your regular facial cleaner. Do not use a lot of pressure, just a smooth circular motion, and never use if your skin is inflamed, broken or has a rash.
5. Moisturize the skin. Mash grapes with honey, to make a paste and apply the mixture to the fase as a mask, leave on for 20-25 minutes, then rinse. Grapes are a natural source of collagen and alpha-hydroxy acids.4.
A few natural tips to nuture and correct skin problems
a. Aloe Vera is rich in healing nutrients for softening the skin, use pure Aloe Vera gel to treat dry skin.
b. Witch Hazel is a natural astgrigent that tones the skin. Apply with a cotton ball or facial pad to remove any residue left on the face after cleansing or a home facial, it will help to tighten the pores, tone the skin, and refresh the skin. Always follow with a good moisturizer.
c. Cucumbers contain amino and organic acids that cool and refresh the skin, and tighten the pores. Peel and slice half a cucumber and puree it in a blender, add 1 tablespoon of plain yogurt, mix well, then apply to the skin. Leave on for 15 to 20 minutes, remove with a damp cloth or rinse with cold water. Cucumbers can also be used by those who suffer from the reddness of Rosacea, puree and combined with an egg white, apply as a mask and leave on for 30 minutes. Used daily the Rosacea should show improvement within a month.

General tips for everyday use
1. Soothe tired, irritated eyes with chamomile tea bags. Soak the tea bags in ice water for a few minutes, lie down and relax, place the bags over the eyelids, feel the difference after a few minutes - it should help.
2. One of the natural things to help with every ailment, can be found in Chamomile. The ancient Egyptians, Greeks, and Vikings referred to it as "the do anything herb". In the 17th century Herbalists prescribed it for - fevers, aches, menstrual cramps, heart disease, and to soothe frazzled nerves and lessen anxiety. It is said to help one get a good night sleep without the groggy feeling that prescription drugs leave; will settle an upset stomach and ease gas pains. After dinner, sip a cup of warm chamomile tea to help keep the digestive system functioning properly.
3. Garlic, it does not smell good, but it does alot of good. This is another of nature's wonder aids, going back to the Egyptians, and ancient Greeks, who used it for headaches, sore throats, infections, stomach disorders, and wounds. Roman soldiers took it with them, into battle, to give them strength and endurance; and Oriental healers recommended it to reduce high blood pressure. In modern warfare it has been used to treat wounds and gangrene, and is known to be an excellent antibiotic. Some people say it is good for the heart by lowering cholesterol, thinning the blood and preventing the build-up of plaque. Garlic is best used fresh, as processing causes it to loose some of it's qualities. Give it a try, see if it helps.
4. Ginger this is one of my favorites, I take it with me in crystalized form, when I go on a crise, in case of sea-sickness, or to help settle a upset stomach. Actually I eat it, the way some people eat candy, in the crystalized form it is delicious. But Ginger also helps in other ways - during the flu season, drinking a cup of ginger tea daily will help fight off getting sick. Warm ginger tea is used to break a fever, rid the body of mucus buildup in the sinuses, throat, and lungs.
5. Clays absorb toxins and stimulate circulation, which is important to improve the color of the skin and promotes firmness.
a. Use sea and rose clay for normal skin.
b. Kaolins or white clays for sensitive skin.
c. French Green, Bentonite and Red clays for oily skins.
